Qualifications to Apply (Requirements)

  • Students from a country in the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) List of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients
  • Students experiencing financial difficulties that are affecting their studies
  • Students who have proven academic excellence, including linguistic proficiency (both Korean and English)
  • Students who have high probability of returning to their home country and supporting its development


  • January, July: Recommendation letters and application receptions
  • February, August: Document evaluations and interviews
  • February, August: Final selections and results announcements
  • March, September: Distribution of scholarships

Supporting Period

  • Undergraduate students: up to eight academic semesters
  • Master's students: up to four academic semesters
  • Doctoral students: up to six academic semesters

How to Apply

  • Applicants must be recommended by the foundation’s partner universities. Students at the foundation’s partner universities should contact their university’s international affairs office for more information, including the application form.
